External Lime Plastering

Full External Lime Render & Limewash Transformation Thatched Cottage, Hartest, Suffolk We were delighted to carry out a complete external re render on this charming period thatched cottage in the picturesque village of Hartest, Suffolk. The old sand and cement render which was trapping moisture and damaging the historic fabric was carefully removed in full. We then installed Thermafleece insulation and traditional lathing before applying a multi-coat breathable lime plaster system. To complete the transformation, three generous coats of authentic Suffolk pink limewash were hand-applied, delivering a soft, traditional finish that perfectly complements the thatch and timber detailing. The result is a stunning visual upgrade combined with significantly improved thermal performance and long term protection for the building exactly what a heritage property like this deserves.
