Lime Render Restoration Thatched Cottage, Fulbourn We were called in to restore the failing gable end of this beautiful period thatched cottage in Fulbourn. The original render had cracked over time, allowing water to penetrate the historic fabric of the building. Our team carefully removed the defective render, installed new insulation and traditional lathing, then applied a full multi coat breathable lime plaster system. This sympathetic repair has completely resolved the water ingress issues while preserving the character of the property and significantly improving its thermal performance exactly what’s needed for a traditional timber framed cottage.
